After 2nd now WPT main event first day
I end up second in the 2500 NL final. Chris Bigler was the winner. No doubt about it I was
satisfied with the result because I played great poker against a tough field and the money
was great. That result brought me to 35th in the Cardplayer of the Year race, it's getting
exciting. Few days later now have passed and I entered the WPT main event at the Mirage.
The first day was over after five level of play with half the field left. I finished with 26,000 in
chips (from 20k start).
As usual first price is going to be over 1 million. Who's going to be the next millionaire?

May 18,
One more final table
Mirage is turning into a successful festival. I made one more final table (2500$ NL hold’em)
with over 150 entries. Few excellent player are left so it will not be easy: Chris Bigler, Chip
Jett, Amir Vahedi, Peter Costa and again Paul Darden. I hold average chips. Just before the
final table I busted the party cruise champion Maciek Gracz. It’s the second time I eliminate
“Michael” late in a tournament and he showed once again he’s a real class player wishing
me good luck.
Another great news is that I finalize a sponsorship with a great site. I will however wait that
the final contract is signed before I reveal who is the lucky site to have me on their team :-)

May 14,
5th in Omaha
That’s all I was able to do. I have no regrets, however, because I played as well as my cards
allowed me to do. Here are the final results.
On Saturday I entered the 2k Limit and I went busted in less then two hours loosing twice
with AA after flopping a set. But no big deal. So I came home to play the ponies and I
entered a Full Tilt special tournament. The top 9 in the tournament would win a piece of the
designated pro in the WSOP (this week Andy Block). They had 400 entries and I finished a
respectable 7th place. That earned me 1% of Andy and if he wins the WSOP it could be
worth 100,000. That is a cool promotion. Also it was my first final table on Full Tilt and to my
surprise when I got there the background graphics changed automatically to resemble a
televised table with lots of spectators. Cool.

Omaha h/l final table
Finally I made a final table. It has not happened since the LA Classic. I’m so glad Mirage has
a tournament with other games then no limit. The WSOP are close and this is the perfect
tune up before the most important poker festival of the year. In the final table the player to
beat is Paul Darden. He’s really becoming a top player in any game and he will tough to beat
since he accumulates a sensible advantage.
Omaha hi-lo may be my best game so tomorrow I’ll do what I can to try to stop him. One of
the big advantages I had yesterday was that when two tables were left I realize that I was just
happy to feel healthy after several weeks of always being a little sick. Now hopefully
everything is behind me and I’ll be competing without other worries.

Time to start playing again
After the WPT Championship I took some time off. Monday however it will start the Mirage
Festival with several important tournament that culminates into a WPT 10k tournament.
Right after that WSOP. I cannot wait.
Wynn opened few days ago and it's as beautiful as they advertise. The poker room is nice
but so far they haven't steal any business from Bellagio. That may be because the new
Bellagio card room also open: more tables and a third super high roller room. Very nice
improuvement.
During my vacation I saw several movies but one was so great I have to recommend it to
everyone: Kung Fu Hustle.
