10K buy in tournament a bust, now I'm playing the
WSOP main event until I win the title...
The main event at Harrah's started so well that after half the field
was gone (107) I had the chip lead. I was playing my best poker ever
but just few hours later things started turning the wrong way. During
poker tournament I often sleep late, but this time I was up 5 hours
before it started. That's never good and in the last two rounds of the
day, bad plays and bad luck brough me in the back pack of the field,
but still alive with 3 tables left. Next day I woke up rested and ready
to play, but never was able to win a pot, I was out a modest 24th
(0$).
Another great and exciting fact this week is the release of the official
WSOP videogame and if you are going to pick up one, look at the
back cover... I'm in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is very exciting because videogames are one of my passion
and to be in the official WSOP is extremely cool. The game is well
done too: you start as a rookie that decide to go at the WSOP with
10k in your bankroll. There you can start by playing smaller events
and if you finish in the money you'll have more opportunities in other
tournaments. Also there are invitational poker tournaments and
other cool things to unlock. I think I might review this videogame on
cardplayer.

WINNER second ring in my collection
What a week I'm having: ESPN debut, 5th place and now Winner of a minor WSOP
tournament circuit event. Not bad at all.
Grinder was second and playing 1 on 1 with him was great. Around one hour after the final
table started, we were heads up. If enyone forgot, Michael Mizrachi was the winner at the
2005 Mirage 1on1 championship. Not the easiest opponent to break my final table "bad
streak". On top of it he was enjoing a 3 to 1 advantage but I had no intention of just laying
down.
Almost 4 1/2 hour of head's up play and I was all in with A9 against his 86, with a board of
85A. No help on the next two cards and finally a victory that I was waiting for a while. At one
point we had exactely 50-50 in chips so we made a deal and playing for very little but a nice
Ring and Cardplayer points.
Now the main event is approaching but ESPN will only have a moving camera to document
the event so I do not expect a big tournout.
My NFL picks went 3-2, ok since the first week is always difficult. I will make new picks by
saturday morning.

NFL is finally here
Just like I did the last few years I'll be posting my football picks on my site. I've never had a
losing season since I started keeping track, take advantage but don't bet above your
bankrolls, poker is still the best way to make money. Here are my week 1 picks.
By the way I'm in the final table tomorrow at Harrah's against one of the best NL players
around Michael "Grinder" Mizrachi. He has however 50% of the chips in play with 9 left so it
will not be easy. I have 14% and I'm sitting in second place. I hope I win, I hope I win, I hope I
win, I hope I win...

Harrah's NL 1000$ I finished 5t! Will I ever win again?
Another good result but no real glory. I cashed 16 times in tournaments since my last win,
that's a stat that I don't really like. I feel like I'm playing to win, but that does not seems to
matter when I get close. I guess that's part of the game, I'll eventually break trough.
5th place at Harrah's out of 140 is not a bad result afterall...
September 7,
ESPN debut
I've been on television many times, thanks to the Ultimate Poker Challenge. Last night,
however, it was my first televised final table at the WSOP and on ESPN. I hope you did not
miss it, the show was fantastic, but next time I need to win.
I haven't wrote a blog in a while mainly because I'm a procrastinator. I'll try to do a better job
in the future.
Right now I'll be playing some events at the Harrah's. For the main event, ESPN televised,
you can bet your favorite player at WSEX (my sponsor), the odds will be up shortly.
