Number 9? Another final table, what a great week.

Playing well finally pays off. Just the day before the start of the Doyle's Brunson
Championship, I made another final table and cashed nicely for over 100k. I had many
chances this year to go over that nice 6 figure number but fail until Monday 17 Oct.. I knew
from the start of the day that something was different: I woke up went out and rain was
coming down like it was Seattle more then Vegas. The air was as pure as ever in our dusty
valley and I had high hopes for a strong finish in the 3k tournament at the Bellagio. 13
remaining players from the day before and I was below average but in a nice 6th position
overall. In less then 20min. 4 players busted out and I made the second final table in few
days. A couple of hours later, with 5 left, the two big stacks went to war (AA against 1010)
and just like that the tournament was down to 4.
Anthony Newman agreed to a very good
deal for the three short stacks and took down the bracelet, more money and the glory. I was
3rd in chips and that finish improuved my
CardPlayer of the Year standings to a fantastic 9th
place. At the beginning of 2005 I really had in mind to make the top 20 but now I would really
enjoy finishing in the top 10.

The Main Event was not very good for me, finishing around 150th, but I can't win all the time,
it still has been a excellent festival.

Sumo better then 2 cashes

Thanks to the Fischman family last weekend I went to Mandalay Bay to see Sumo. A little
strange to have that in America, since the sport is only performed in Japan.
It was very exciting and spectacular. If you ever have a chance to go to a sumo weekend, go
and enjoy the tournament. Matches last around one minute, and the loser gets eliminated
NCAA style. At the end one wrestler will win the title and perform his original celebration.

Bellagio Festa del Lago is now in full strides, I just finished
8th out of 425 players. and guess
what? I'm disappointed. Maybe main event will bring some glory. In the mean time you can
bet on the winner at
Wsex, I'm 150-1 (a steal... I hope).

WSOP Videogame (for whoever missed the news)

Another great and exciting fact this week is the release of the official
WSOP videogame and if you are going to pick up one, look at the
back cover... I'm in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is very exciting because videogames are one of my passion
and to be in the official WSOP is extremely cool. The game is well
done too: you start as a rookie that decide to go at the WSOP with
10k in your bankroll. There you can start by playing smaller events
and if you finish in the money you'll have more opportunities in other
tournaments. Also there are invitational poker tournaments and
other cool things to unlock.
It's available for PS2, PSP, XBOX, Gamecube, PC.
